The Story of French Destroyer L'Audacieux
L’Audacieux was a large Le Fantasque-class destroyer (contre-torpilleur) that served with French forces during early World War II, including the fight around Dakar. After being disabled and drifting ashore, she was salvaged, later captured during Axis occupation, and finally lost again during German evacuation operations before being disposed of postwar.
